We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
What we collect
- You: your email, business name, sender name, support email and settings.
- Your Stripe key: a restricted API key, stored encrypted.
- Your customers: data from Stripe webhooks needed to send emails: customer email and name, invoice and subscription IDs, amounts, currency and status.
- Survey answers: the reason a customer picks and any comment they type.
- Email log: recipient, subject, send status, time.
How we use it
Only to run Failpilot: send failed-payment reminders, cancellation surveys, your weekly digest and sign-in links, show your dashboard, and bill you. We do not sell personal information or use it for advertising.
Who we share it with
- Cloudflare: hosting and database.
- Resend: sending emails.
- Stripe: your payment data, and our own billing via Stripe Checkout.
These providers may store data outside Australia (for example in the United States).
Retention and deletion
We keep data while your account is active. Disconnecting Stripe deletes your stored key. To close your account, email us; we delete your data within 30 days after account closure.
Access, correction and complaints
You can ask to access or correct your personal information, or complain about how we handled it, by emailing us. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).

If you are a customer of a business using Failpilot, that business decided to send you these emails. Contact them, or us, with questions.
